Opportunities Beyond the Classroom

At Bertrand Community School, we believe the size of our school should never determine the size of the opportunities available to our students.

Through this year’s give2GROW campaign, we are raising funds to create Opportunities Beyond the Classroom—experiences that allow our students to explore new places, discover careers, develop their talents, compete, lead, and see possibilities for their futures that extend far beyond the walls of our school.

Funds raised will support field trips and experiential learning, college and career exploration, CTE experiences and competitions, fine arts and music opportunities, student leadership activities, visiting experts and programs, and other unique learning experiences that may not fit within the regular school budget.

We also want to create a flexible Student Opportunity Fund that allows us to say “yes” when an extraordinary opportunity arises during the school year. When a teacher discovers a program that could inspire a student, when a class has the chance to visit a business or college, or when students earn the opportunity to compete or participate beyond Bertrand, we want the resources to make it possible.

Every gift—regardless of size—helps open another door for a Bertrand student.

A gift might help put a student on a bus for a career exploration trip, provide admission to a museum or performance, send a student to a leadership conference, help a CTE team attend a competition, bring an expert into our school, or give an entire class an experience they will remember long after graduation.

Our students deserve opportunities to experience, explore, create, compete, lead, and dream big.

With the support of our community, we can make sure they have them.

$25 helps pay an admission fee.
$50 helps send a student to a career experience.
$100 helps fund a field trip.
$250 helps a team attend a competition.
$500 helps bring an expert or program to Bertrand.
$1,000 can help fund an entire class experience.
