Holdrege Memorial Homes Foundation

At Holdrege Memorial Homes, our kitchen prepares over 2,400 meals each week for residents and Meals on Wheels clients. But we’re facing a critical challenge—our walk-in fridge and freezer are outdated, undersized, and increasingly expensive to repair.

Each repair costs $8,000–$10,000, and parts are nearly impossible to find. With our current storage, we’re limited to a 3-day food supply and require deliveries three times a week—wasting time and resources.

We’re launching a campaign to purchase a new walk-in refrigerator and freezer—each 10 x 16 feet—more than double the current size. This upgrade will:

• Allow weekly food ordering instead of every 3 days

• Improve reliability and food safety

• Support meal service for all residents and community clients
