Phelps County Emergency Management

It is the mission of the Office of the Phelps County Emergency Management Agency to create a coordinated effort of Emergency Management under the principles of Mitigation, Planning, Response, and Recovery as defined by the Federal Emergency Management Agency. It is also the intention of the office to prepare responders and private citizens of Phelps County on the possibility of threats made affecting our safety or National Security. The Emergency Management Office will provide local public awareness programs and training for Emergency Responders. Some of these programs will be coordinated with the assistance of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Domestic Preparedness (ODP), and the Nebraska Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).
