Phelps County Senior Citizens Service Center

Welcome to the Phelps County Senior Center Page.  We provide several services to our Community.  Two of the main services we provide are Congregate Meals and Public Transportation Monday through Friday.  Anyone can come and eat at the Senior Center and use our Public Transit vehicles to get to where they need to be.  Our Meals are a suggested contribution of $5.00 per person for those over the age of 60 and $6.00 per person for those under the age of 60.  We also offer grab and go meals (you just driving through the parking lot and we bring the meals out to you) These cost $5.50 or $6.50 depending on you age and best of all for those that can no longer drive or just getting our of the hospital we have home delivered meals that we bring right to your door.  $6.50 or $7.50 depending on your age.  All in town one way rides are $1.00 per boarding.  We go to grocery store, medical clinics, hospital, therapy, beauty salons, bank, schools, you name it we will get you their.

Our goal is to help the elderly remain in their own housed for as long as possible and offer services that help them stay independent.  We have been a part of Holdrege and Phelps County since 1974 and we hope to continue for many more years to come.  

Please support our fundraising campaign so we can remain one of the Best Senior Centers in Nebraska.  Whether you come to the Senior Center or not, you more then likely know or have a person in the Holdrege Community that comes here for meals or uses our transportation service.  Maybe your Grandparents, parents, other family members or friends have come to the Senior Center for meals and fellowship.  Please donation in their honor or just to be giving back to the People that helped make Holdrege the Community it is.

We are campaigning to raise $40,000 dollars.  We have a leaking flat roof that has been leaking into the front rooms of the Center, we have done small fixes but we now need to have the flat roof resurfaced to stop the leaks.  We are upgrading our office equipment with new computers and printers to keep us up to date with all the new changes out there.  Last but not least we need to upgrade electric wiring done at the Center because we keep tripping breakers.
