Sandstrom Cemetery Association
Sandstrom Cemetery is located north and east of Bertrand Nebraska at the intersection of 743 and D Roads in Phelps County. The Cemetery is independent in that it has no ownership or funding from any Church or Municipality. The Association is operated by a board of trustees who are interested volunteers from the community, many of whom have family members buried there.
Many families in the local area have multiple generations at rest in the cemetery. While the number of burials has declined in recent times due to fewer families living in the area, as well as the more mobile nature of our culture, this Cemetery represents an important part of the history of the families who have lived in that area of northwest Phelps County.
All funds raised will be used for care and maintenance of the burial site.
As the Association’s primary funding comes from contributions, the Cemetery Board appreciates the contributions received through give2GROW which will be hosted by the Phelps County Community Foundation on Thursday, November 13, 2025.
